
Andrew is the founder and CEO of GCS (Pty) Ltd. He has over 30 years’ experience in both water and environmental consulting, for mining, industry and agriculture in Africa. Andrew has undertaken and managed water and environmental investigations in 15 countries in Africa. He has a Master of Science Degree in Hydrogeology from Rhodes University and is registered as a Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP. He is also a member of the Groundwater Division of South Africa, The International Mine Water Association (IMWA), Water Institute of Southern Africa, the International Association of Hydrogeologists and a member of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA).

Brett Wilson-Jones has over 40 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering. He was the founding member and managing director of Moore Spence Jones (MSJ), prior to MSJ’s acquisition and incorporation into WorleyParsons in 2010. Since 2014, Brett has worked as an independent consultant. He was appointed to the board of GCS Water and Environment in June 2014.

Adam’s role is as a director and specifically in charge of the environmental section which deals with a wide range of environmental issues ranging from permitting and compliance issues to sustainability and mine closure.

Magnus van Rooyen, joined GCS in January 2021 as Environmental Director. Magnus holds a Masters Degree: Environmental Management, he also holds a BSC degree in Botany and Zoology, as Honours Degree in Botany and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Magnus has 15+ years’ experience in projects involving Environmental Impact Assessments in various developmental sectors (Mining & Agricultural Sector, National Roads, Pipelines, Dams and Residential Developments) conducting of specialist with Environmental Impact Assessments and Project Feasibility studies
